I never would have interpreted it quite that way. Sarah does have a history of salacious lyrics, dating back to Weeping Tile:

i love weeping tile, i saw them play long ago at the grawood, opening for the watchmen.
i also love sarah, i've seen her play at folk fests and the like but the best thing ever was when i saw her rock david bowie tunes at bearly's open mike. now that was a show not to be missed.
